Mexico is apparently still reeling from Donald Trump’s win.
For months, Mexican officials claimed that they would not allow Donald Trump to dictate policy in their country. They said that they would not go back to the table to renegotiate NAFTA, would not change their immigration policies, and would definitely never pay for Trump’s wall.
And besides, they said he was never going to win, anyway.
But he did. And now they seem to be changing their tune. According to France24, Mexico is reportedly making preparations to better equip themselves and their people against a Trump presidency. Naturally, this includes protecting the millions of illegal immigrants that they have sent over their northern border into the United States.

Deborah Bier Wieting no one sends the Mexicans to the USA. They come on their own looking for the “American dream” . If the try hard and work hard they can achieve that in Mexico but they think that it’s easier here. I’ll give you an example: all my brothers stayed in Mexico. They did a lot better then we did. Their children are a lot better off than mine. They worked hard, studied and have great jobs. They are all doing incredibly well. Did you know that everyone that’s born in Mexico has medical insurance until the age of 18 or when you start working. At that time, your employer has to privide insurance. It’s social medicine. If you can afford to buy your own insurance you can. Those insurances are for profit and they cannot deny to insure you if you have a pre-existing condition. With all the benefits there, some people still think they can do better here. Let me be clear, the government does not send them, the choose to come on their own. Here in the border Cubans were coming by the hundreds everyday for quite some time until Obama put a order to stop right before he left office leaving hundres stranded in Mexico. A lot of Central Americans sent their children by themselves to the USA whereas the government has to take them and find placement for the and I emphasize they are not Mexicans.
