Mexico is apparently still reeling from Donald Trump’s win.
For months, Mexican officials claimed that they would not allow Donald Trump to dictate policy in their country. They said that they would not go back to the table to renegotiate NAFTA, would not change their immigration policies, and would definitely never pay for Trump’s wall.
And besides, they said he was never going to win, anyway.
But he did. And now they seem to be changing their tune. According to France24, Mexico is reportedly making preparations to better equip themselves and their people against a Trump presidency. Naturally, this includes protecting the millions of illegal immigrants that they have sent over their northern border into the United States.

Mexico. If you want to help your people, clean up your corruption. Shut down the cartels and give your people a better standard of living.
Well why doesn’t Mexico want their citizens back ?? They come here get free money, food stamps and housing, and mange to send 58 million dollars back into Mexico, I can only assume that money is obtained illegally! How does our country dole out american tax dollars to people who aren’t even citizens!
How about you fix your dysfunctional country and stop pawning your problems off on the United States. Mexico basically has all of the same resources that the U.S. has plus cheap labor. Build your economy help the people in YOUR country!
My question is why the Mexican government feels the need to protect their criminal citizens.
They could do more if they would work to improve their own country so that their citizens would want to move back home.

I don’t understand this – the only Mexican citizens who would need ‘protection’ are those who are not here legally, in which case it is none of Mexico’s business.
If they are legal immigrants it’s not a problem. It’s the illegal ones we have a problem with.
