Members of a high school marching band in Houston, TX, are facing suspension over an allegedly racist fruit basket given to members of the rival band. The fruit basket, gifted by seven members of the Atascocita High School marching band, was a Halloween bucket filled with candy, a small watermelon, coconut, pineapple and watermelon gum. After conducing an “investigation”, school administrators determined that the gift was racist. Never mind the fact that they never mentioned the skin color of the people receiving the basket and the people giving it were of mixed heritage themselves.
