Melania Trump Will Not Wear Headscarf During Saudi Arabia Trip

President’s Trump’s 1st official foreign state visit to Saudi Arabia has sparked much speculation as to if Melania will wear a veil in accordance with Sharia law during their stay.

Saudi Arabia’s laws force female citizens to wear Burkas in public and foreign visitors to wear loose floor-length clothes or an Abaya along with a head scarf.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister answered this question for the public in a conference with the media last Thursday.

America’s first lady has not been “ordered” to dress conservatively in Saudi Arabia, the country chosen by her husband as his first official overseas destination. Along with meetings on the US president’s itinerary, there will also reportedly be time for entertainment in the lavish Arab kingdom.

Women in Saudi Arabia, including foreign visitors, are typically expected to wear a floor length dress – abaya, and a head scarf. However, when asked whether the US first lady would have to dress accordingly, a Saudi Arabia official said Riyadh “usually doesn’t demand” a specific dress-code, but rather “accepts suggestions.”

Although Melania Trump will not be bowing down to an oppression of women and Sharia Law, many politicians are jumping on this new bandwagon being promoted under the guise of liberal political correctness.

Even Swedish Minister of European Affairs and Trade, Ann Linde, a prominent feminist, wore a Hijab for her entire visit to Iran back in February to discuss foreign trade relations. Perhaps one day her greatest accomplishment for the European Union will be trading Western gender equality for Burkas, Sharia Law and a good beating.

Austrian President Van der Bellen’s vision to force all western women to wear a Hijab isn’t as far fetched as it seems.
