The young are absolutely certain that they know what is best for Britain, though they have no experience to base that on. They are in love with creeping socialism and one world government because it was taught to them at university, though none of them can cite an example where it has actually succeeded in making the lives of the masses better. Their online vitriol towards the “old people” who voted for greater local autonomy and freedom is stunning, and it reminds us that what the kids mainly lacked was a stout disciplinary whipping in their growing up years. VICE gave us: “Old People Seem Intent on Fucking Us Over Forever”, and, “Brexit Proves Baby Boomers Should Get Less of a Vote”.
GQ Magazine went all out, producing: “WE SHOULD BAN OLD PEOPLE FROM VOTING”. Writing about “them” as if the older generations are some foreign species, the reasons given by the author included:
“The EU referendum result will have less effect on older people”; “Over 65s read the Daily Mail”; “There was no ‘golden age’ of Britain”; and “We take pensioners’ driving licences away… why not their right to vote?”
On Twitter, too, the line between hate and mockery was thin.
There is this and more from the young, cultured elite. Would that they could meet up with an old soldier for a good old fashioned arse whooping. It will not happen, and the main stream media will quote these pampered whiners as if they actually have something to say. I say let them forego voting until they have held a steady job and paid taxes and lived in their own house or apartment for at least ten years.
Oh, and there should be a literacy and world history test.
That would keep them from voting for the rest of their lives.

I kind of have a similar feeling too, but we should not be able to vote until 25 years old, and you have 50 years to vote. Done at 75. We are not born with wisdom, and at 75 years old, you pretty much don’t keep up with what’s going on.
