A slow and sad death may be occurring for McDonald’s across the United States, as franchise owners say that, “Probably 30% of operators are insolvent.” The CEO is lacking consistent leadership, owners say, and his decisions are creating an ongoing “deep depression” for these restaurants, as they “jump from one failed initiate to another.

When the new guys “inherit” the company and act like the grandkids with no understanding of what allowed the company to grow in the first place, the company fails. The tend to over-expand menus and outlets, in attempts to save themselves, only making the problem worse for the victims, the franchise owners. The customers, in the meantime, look for other options.

I knew this site panders to a certain point of view but to run a story from Yahoo! finance and take it as gospel is ridiculous. $50 bucks in McDs stock 10 years ago is now worth 125 bucks, the dividend is around 3 percent. The typical uninformed comments below belie a site that panders to views of “old” people. You may as well keep running stories of lazy millenials, too rich sports stars, the cost of gasoline, and the invention of that damned radio—oops sorry, that was for a previous generation.
They are prospering. No need to go all heel on a less than reliable story. But you knew that right?

Most are. They market to people 3 to about 27. As you can see from the negative comments on here, the majority are outside of their demographic.
