Maxine Waters: I’ll Run For President If Millennials Ask Me To

When one thinks of Maxine Waters, Jackass Party member of the U.S. House of Representatives, just about the farthest thing from anyone’s mind is the notion that she would make a great president.  When I think of a president, I certainly never felt that a president should disrespect the office of the seat they actually hold.  Nor do I believe that a person who is president should ever stand with a domestic terror group that calls specifically for the killing of cops.

Misrepresentative Waters has done both of these things.  She has noted very emphatically, on the House floor no less, that she does not respect our President.

“Mr. Speaker, my position against this president and his administration is clear. I oppose this president. I do not honor this president. I do not respect this president,” Waters said during a floor speech.

As many political commentators (although none who are Leftists) have pointed out, this type of speech against a sitting president is tantamount to insurrection, a federal offense.  It’s really too bad that a majority Republican Congress will never censure this type of behavior, particularly when it happens to be a very Liberal Black woman who is just about as far from American values in speech and deed as anyone in the elected office can be.  And yet, she was one of the outspoken opponents of those members during the Obama years who merely disagreed with the president.

The stark differences between someone like Don Young (my one and only Representative from Alaska) versus Maxine Waters (who is among 53 Representatives in the state of California) are like saying:  “Our waters are abundant in salmon and King crabs,” to “Our cities are abundant in crime and illegal aliens.”

Yet another irony:  Waters is on the House Financial Services Committee.  This is a woman who has been investigated for multiple ethics violations involving One United Bank and was named by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) as one of the most corrupt members of Congress.

While Don Young is rallying for the passage of King Cove Road Land Transfer Exchange Act, a bill that would “facilitate a life-saving road for the isolated community of King Cove, Alaska.  Since the heartless denial of the project in 2013 by then Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell, 65 medivacs have been conducted, 17 of which were by the U.S. Coast Guard at a cost of $210,000 per incident. Without access to reasonable or reliable emergency access, the residents of King Cove continue to fight for a road corridor to connect their town to Cold Bay – the home to an all-weather airport (closed an average of 10 days per year) featuring Alaska’s fifth-longest runway.”  All this over an 11-mile run of road!

NOTE:  Secretary Sally Jewell was instrumental in pushing for all our National Parks around the country to post commemoration placards that celebrated how the LBGT community impacted our parks system!

Match that against what appears to be a priority for Maxine Waters.  Here’s a re-tweet from her account:

Or perhaps, this is more important:

Maybe even this one:

If you’re wondering why it is that Waters appears to be OCD-focused on President Trump and pretty much nothing else, it might have something to do with her future aspirations. In a brief statement to the Daily Caller, Waters said that she would be willing to run for the presidency in 2020.

California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters, a favorite among liberal progressives, told The Daily Caller Thursday that this weekend’s scheduled appearance in New Hampshire has nothing to do with potentially running for president in 2020.

But she said that she would run for president if millennials want her to.

“I’m just going up to do a county Democratic thing. That’s all,” she said.

When TheDC pressed further, Waters, an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump, said laughing, “I’m not running for anything but my own seat. I don’t have any presidential aspirations. If the millennials want me to do it, I’d do it, though.”

The California Democrat, who is in her 14th term representing a large swath of south central Los Angeles, has previously called for Trump’s impeachment.

The Hill has since attempted to bail out the foot-in-mouth-prone Misrepresentative, choosing a headline that suggests she was “just joking” about running for president, but I wonder about her choice of words.  If I were asked the same question, would my cryptic response to a silly question be, “Well, if the Millennials want me to…”?

It just seems strange to pick those words for a question like that, doesn’t it?  Could it be that she has actually, seriously entertained the thought between colleagues, friends and family?  If she has, I would like to offer a small piece of advice.

Misrepresentative Waters, you may want to back away from the microphone, because that is truly the dumbest thing you’ve said yet.  And I’m saying that, not in jest, but just to save yourself and your really dumb constituents who have thought that your representing them for 28 years could result in anything but a disaster.

Los Angeles is facing heightened poverty and ghettoes of shameful proportions, lowered education standards, phenomenally-high levels of crime and shooting deaths, financial and employment dearth, streets that look like World War III came to town and an infrastructure that’s crumbling under your feet, illegals filling every single job that your constituents are not (and they wonder why unemployment is so high), MS-13 gang members running drugs and prostitution rings, abortions in record numbers, Welfare programs corrupted and rampant throughout, and fatherless children on every block!

Ready for the presidency now, Mrs. Waters?  Is this how you’ll run the Oval Office for all Americans?

Let’s see how that resume of yours plays out, shall we?
