Matthews: ‘The Worst You Can Say About Democrats Is They’re Too Pure’

According to Chris Matthews, the “worst thing you can say about Democrats is that they’re too pure.”  No, he really did say this.  In the center of a swirling firestorm of sexual harassment and rape testimony controversy against Democrats in politics, in Hollywood, in sports, and in business, Chris Matthews points to one (and exactly only one) Republican candidate (not even in office as of yet) to make his above case in point, that the worst you can say about the literal dozens of Democrats who are being outed as sex-crazed fiends is that they’re “too pure.”

Correct me if I’m wrong, but is Chris Matthews saying that as long as the Democrats are committing rape and sexually harassing women on a massive scale and are then apologizing and stepping down from positions of power (if they’re caught, that is) that is the moral equivalency of having done nothing at all?

Because it sounds to me like he is equivocating what it means to be a sexual predator with the act of contrition.  Matthews is at its foundation of the argument blending right with wrong and claiming that because the Republicans won’t follow suit and commit acts of wrongdoing against women without apologies, they are somehow less morally righteous than those who are disgraced?

If you’re as confused as I am, then I believe we must be on the right side of the argument.  Do these Leftists really, honestly and truthfully believe that it’s better to have lusted, harassed and lost than never to have harassed at all?

Leave it to MSNBC to deny an honest assessment of a man who is obviously a serial misogynist as being too pure for the moral compass of Congress.
