Gloria Steinman lumps Christian and Muslim “theocracy’s” together as a feminist problem, deriding monotheism in an interview with Bill Maher. Maher points out that forty countries have Sharia Law and where woman’s testimony in court is worth half as much, a man can get divorced by just saying, ‘I divorce the’, a woman’s property is not really her property.”
Steinman states that feminists in Muslim countries are pointing out that Mohammad’s first wife was a real estate agent and was smarter and richer than him. This is her saving stance on woman’s rights in Islamic countries?

She doesn’t get it… She thinks it’s a hop skip and a jump to bring women’s civil rights when even nonmuslim men have no/few rights under sharia law… And it isn’t that their votes don’t count, women aren’t even treated as human.
