MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow claims that she’s been “meticulously” preparing herself for a Trump presidency. How might she be doing this, you’re probably wondering. She’s studying Adolf Hitler, more specifically, she’s studying the first few months of his reign as German chancellor.
Is it just me, or has Hitler become the standard for political comparison, these days? Both conservatives and liberals are guilty of it, but it would seem that the only way to not get compared to Hitler is by being a complete and total idiot (i.e. Hillary Clinton). Why are people comparing Trump to Hitler, because of his stance on immigration.
There are thousands of other issues facing America, probably more, and people hate Trump strictly based on the fact that he doesn’t want people to break the law and come into America illegally. How does this make sense? These are the people deciding America’s future. They’re like a horde of zombies who feed off of things that offend them.

Michael Ernest, These wonderful successful profit makers (Trump and some cabinet members) are the ones who own the businesses that have not provided employment or a living wage to all the pissed off unemployed or underemployed people who voted for Trump. That reality is what’s makes Democrats concerned about Trump’s plans. We know business can make lots of money if we disregard the good of people and climate and peace. That’s not the point. War, for example, can create a lot of GNP as well as death and debt. But Trump said the angry peoples problems are caused by jobs “someone” sent to China instead of Obama giving tax breaks to keep them here (why aren’t these tax breaks “handouts”?), and Trump said their problems are caused by the low wages people who are not citizens accept. Sadly, our angry American people believe Trump and won’t look at how business operates its system to their disadvantage as you described so well. Automation is taking away jobs but I don’t think Trump addressed that. Most businesses don’t care about the general good as you said, many not even about the quality of their goods and services or safety of their employees, only about making as much money as possible. So as a nation we learned we need some brakes on that desire for money above all else. To say it is all a matter of individual will and effort is an unfounded romantic notion that ignores the effect of the system within which we all find ourselves. This larger system results primarily from the interaction of economics via business and government . We need both functioning for the sustainability of our nation and the world. We only have this one boat to live in.

I tend to agree with her Christopher Turley. Trump is picking some lousy cabinet members. Trumps a great salesman. I think he sold the white middle class males a load of goods. A really bad load of goods. It remains to be seen. But I will not say “I told you so” when every one realizes how they have been bamboozled.
