Liberals, RINOs Move to Remove Trump’s Presidential Authority to Wage War Against Terrorism


Broken straight from the mold of Barack Hussein Obama and Bill Ayers, U.S. Misrepresentative Barbara Lee epitomizes everything a Liberal is and then some.  She is a strident supporter of all things Left, but goes beyond the normal maniacally-loyal, rabid, mouth-frothing lunacy and takes it one step further by embracing so much of the Leftist agenda that she’s lost track of common sense logic and regular, everyday, down-home horse-sense.  Having grown up in poverty and then experiencing it up close and personal while a single mother of two in Los Angeles, one would think that she understands the challenges involved in meeting a budget.  But like any Leftist, her voting record reflects someone drunk with power and authority and an addiction to spending other people’s money that rivals a meth-addict in Cleveland trading food stamps for drugs with the local dealer.

The claim-to-fame for this House member who is paid a hefty $174K annually is really sort of a bargain when you take into account that Senator Barbara Boxer’s annual base salary is in excess of $4M, is her stance against the AUMF that afforded the Executive Branch to authorize the use of military force against terrorists who attacked the U.S. without Congress’ approval.  Regardless, she is a rock-solid opponent of anything and everything for which Donald Trump stands, whether or not she agreed with it in the past.  Back in the glory days of Barack Hussein Obama when roses grew in the ghetto and the ocean levels were much lower than they are now, and Leftists could actually murder a private citizen with the assistance of a drone without a pesky Oversight Committee investigating, Lee had offered her services to become the U.S. Ambassador to Cuba.  When Obama had “normalized” relations with the Castro regime, she thought she was on the way to Easy Street.  Alas, the Ambassadorial post never materialized.

Lee has been a 100% opponent of the AUMF since its inception and has now successfully introduced a bill into the House Appropriations panel that would do away with the AUMF law.

The Republican-led House Appropriations Committee took Washington D.C. by surprise Thursday, approving an amendment that revokes a 2001 law which gives the president authority to wage war against al-Qaeda and its affiliates.

Lawmakers on the committee applauded when the amendment to revoke the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) was added to a defense spending bill by a near-unanimous voice vote.

The amendment, introduced by Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., would give Congress 240 days to pass new legislation granting the president executive authority to wage war against ISIS. The 2001 AUMF would be repealed at the end of the 240 days.

The AUMF was initially approved to provide the executive branch the legal authority to take military action against the al-Qaeda terrorist network in response to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Critics of the AUMF say it has been abused by the executive branch to wage endless war without the consent of Congress. The law has been used to justify military actions 37 times in 14 countries since 2001, including the Iraq War and the ongoing fight against ISIS.

The amendment has a long way to go before it becomes law. It’s unclear whether the Senate will approve the measure and include it in the final draft of a defense spending bill that will inevitably be sent to President Donald Trump’s desk for his signature.

“The last 16 years, it has become increasingly clear that this AUMF has essentially provided the president, any president, the authority to wage war in perpetuity,” Lee said.

Lee said she was the only member of Congress to vote against the AUMF in 2001 because “I knew then it would provide a blank check to wage war anywhere, anytime, for any length by any president.”

You’ll note her massive surprise at this vote. Why? Because the Republicans joined her in basically saying, “Well, if the terrorists strike us, we’d better make damned sure that we tie President Trump’s hands. We don’t want that uneducated rube going to war without our okay!”

But there’s more to this woman than meets the eye.  The difference between a Maxine Waters or a Nancy Pelosi and a Barbara Lee is that this girl is terrifyingly sharp.  She is smart, she knows how to inspire revolt, she knows how to fire up the troops and mobilize for action, and most importantly, she is an immovable object in her district.  She plays the identity politics nearly as well (if not better) than even the Great Savior Barack himself.  That is even more dangerous than the former president’s Department of Shadowy Endeavors because she is still in the government.  She has direct and open access to all the Leftists she requires to effect change on behalf of the Black Progressive agenda.

In this tweet, Lee is pressing Uber to hire people that she considers to be more qualified than the ones that Uber itself deems qualified. And what are the qualifications? Only one. The person must be Black. Guess she never heard that famous quote about not “being judged by the color of my skin, but rather on the content of my character.”

While her religion is listed as Baptist, she is obviously more closely aligned to the Islamic faith as she appears to abhor any mention of Christianity and then tweets:

And for all of you who are not scholars of the Muslim faith, here’s a little background:

Some state this exchange of greetings is a cultural tradition and not part of any religious obligation. However, it is only used during the celebration of the two Muslim holidays. Children get a day off school if it is before or on a school day.

Here, she fails to even grasp that the very people pictured in the photo who are opposing MLK are Democrats.

And finally, not to beat a dead Jackass, but she wants the hate to end against gays in remembrance of the Orlando nightclub slain, but fails to see the irony that the very people she applauds and protects are the very ones who are throwing gays off roottops or killing them in Florida nightclubs.

There is so much more that is impossible to go into because of constraints in time, but suffice it to say that this woman and her Leftist agenda is a perfectly streamlined machine that contradicts itself as perfectly as it apologizes for the injustices of America.  Be sure to keep a close eye on her and her Twitter account:

We’ll see how far her friendship with the Republicans will go, but I suspect that with RINOs running wild and free in the House, we’re liable to see a lot of Obama-style decrees coming out of this Leftist.
