David Letterman’s 33-year run on late-night television was marked by his acerbic sense of humor.
Upon retiring in 2015, he’s undergone a metamorphosis into someone almost unrecognizable from the more comedic guy people watched on the “Late Show with David Letterman”.
He’s grown a full beard, which coupled with his balding head, makes him look like a guy wanting to moonlight as a department store Santa Claus.
But beneath that kindly-looking exterior lurks a clearly bitter and troubled man, as evidenced by recent nasty remarks about President Donald Trump.

Letterman is old and bitter and simply cannot handle his imminent final ride into the sunset. I have not seen this man provide any humor since announcing his retirement, a year before he actually stepped down. I am thinking that his real reason for his departure was network brass forcing him and now he is just angry. I find it hard to believe that he would have continued to have Trump on, if he didn’t like him, as he was never one to bring back guests if he didn’t like them (see; Madonna, Crispin Glover, etc…). Dave, wake up, raise your kid right, leave young interns alone, shave your beard and enjoy your final ride…
