Ironically, Schwartz’s lawsuit resembles claims that President Obama was born not in Hawaii like he says but his father’s homeland of Kenya. While liberals wasted no time heaping opprobrium on those who thought Obama’s murky background was worth investigating, they, being the sanctimonious hypocrites that they are, will almost certainly find nothing objectionable about Schwartz’s clearly vindictive case.
Newton Schwartz’s allegations against Cruz rest on very shaky grounds. He maintains that Cruz, having been born in Canada, is not eligible to run for president of the United States. However, the fact that Cruz was born to an American mother casts doubt on the validity of Schwartz’s case, meaning it will be up to the courts to rule in Cruz’s favor.
“The suit seeks a court definition of the term to clarify whether Cruz — who was born in Canada to an American mother — can or can’t serve if elected.
‘This 229-year question has never been pled, presented to or finally decided by or resolved by the U.S. Supreme Court,” Houston attorney Newton B. Schwartz Sr. said in his 28-page complaint. “Only the U.S. Supreme Court can finally decide, determine judicially and settle this issue now.’

I am glad this is going to be settled before the election, I don’t think Cruz is a natural born citizen, as much as I like him. I was a military brat born of two American citizens, when I went to school I asked about this, I was taught that I could never be president, it’s like everything else, the constitution is changed to say what they want it to say, but if the constitution meant born on American soil 45 years ago when I went to school it still means born on American soil, there is nothing hard to understand about it, stop changing the constitution to fit your agenda. That is what Obama and his crew has done, two wrongs does not make a right.
