Things just got serious in North Dakota, and if they continue at the rate they’re going, they may get very, very ugly as well.
For the past month or so, the nation’s attention has been captured by the bands of protestors gathering near the Standing Rock Indian reservation. Claiming that a planned pipeline would contaminate the water the resident Native Americans drink, the demonstrators have gathered in support of them and urged construction on the Dakota Access Pipeline to cease. Supporters of the pipeline, however, maintain that it doesn’t actually run through the reservation and that a number of similar lines already exist in the area.
Regardless of where one stands on the issue, the possibility for escalation between the protestors and law enforcement should give anyone who considers themselves concerned with justice pause and make them pray for a peaceful resolution.

any one want to make a food run to standing rock and to break the unlawful blockade that the police have oput in place, this will turn a lot of citizens against the police and will be cheering the blm for their attacks.
it’s their land.
You know not anything of what you complain about. Learn the facts before badmouthing the pipeline.
Going a little to for
A blockade is the least violent action..
No facts means dumb posts.
Thank you
no its the indians land the gov keeps going back on deals
Before you all get too upset over this you need to understand a few things. First, the NAs there have been peacefully protesting, it is the crazy environmentalists and the violent paid liberals who have joined them that is causing the problems. The NAs have asked them to leave, but they won’t and when they wouldn’t the NAs should have.
Beyond that, all is not what it seems. First, the line runs on federal land that already has a natural gas line there, not on Tribal lands. Second, they are not going through burial grounds. Third, the line does not threaten their water supply. The current inlet that is downstream of the crossing will be out of service long before oil flows as the tribe is switching to a new system that does not draw from the Missouri. Also, the line will run 90 feet below the river and have leak detection and auto shut off. So, the real question is why are they doing this. I have heard several posits that state that one of the possible routes did go through tribal lands and the Tribe is pissed over not getting the free money
Remember who’s in Office of the President. Remember who said ‘No’ to the Keystone Pipeline (which had been O-K’d for it’s path). Put the pieces together.
