When Donald Trump secured the Republican nomination, Barack Obama probably thought that his legacy was secure. The man everyone said could not win was going up against Hillary Clinton, the woman who pledged to keep Obama’s legacy intact.
Unfortunately for Obama, almost everyone got it wrong. Donald Trump won big in November, and now eight years of Obama-era regulations are set to be dismantled under the new president-elect.
But Obama isn’t giving up. Despite having warned Trump to not over-use executive orders, the lame duck president is now using all the power at his disposal to keep Trump from undoing his fragile legacy.
Obama’s latest last-minute power-grab has to do with offshore drilling. Trump may have campaigned on a promise to make America more energy independent, but if Obama gets his way, he may not be able to.

Why the$#%&!@*didn’t Obama sign this order 8 years ago if he’s so damned concerned about the environment? All Obama’s sycophantic supporters will heap piles of praise on him for this weak, too little too late symbolic gesture. This move is characteristic of his entire presidency: lots of symbolism, very little substance and of very little significance to anyone who’s not wealthy.

here’s a thought, that is a fact. the Oil industry has killed less than a quarter of the wildlife, in the past 50 years, that the “Wind fields” have in only the last 10. Including bald eagles. the Oil industry was given heafty fines, and the ‘Green Energy” companies have YET to have been fined. I’m not defending the Oil Industry…I’m just stating facts, that have been ignored.
with the same swiftness that Oblunder has done these “midnight regulations”, Trump can, and most likely WILL, UN do them. The putz is just throwing another of his spoiled child temper tantrums, and trying to make things more difficult for Mr. Trump, when he kicks that imposter to the curb, and takes the helm. I have NEVER wished death on any President of the U.S…..but if for some reason the “lier in Chief” was to keel over unexpectedly…I’d dance a jig in the median strip on I/95!!!

well said. I read his books, before he was elected the first time…and I didnt like what I read. I’m an independent voter (pretty much a Constitutionalist) and after I read Oblunder’s books, I would have voted for a trained PIG before I would vote for THAT POS!
