Kerry: ISIS Militants Aren’t Muslim, but Apostates of Islam

John Kerry Analyzes Islamic Problem

Many Islamic apologists, including Obama, have suggested that Islam is a peaceful religion. But, what of history? From the very beginning, after Mohammad moved to Medina from Mecca, he began launching vicious attacks in caravans, and he essentially became a warlord seeking spoils. After his death, the religion swept into other countries and subjected the populations to servitude. In the eleventh and twelfth centuries, millions of Hindus in the Indian subcontinent were slaughtered or enslaved, and in 1915 over 1.5 million Christian Armenians were murdered in the name of Islam. It may be many things, but Islam is not the religion of peace.

Now we have new groups, the Islamic Brotherhood, Al-Qaida, and most recently, ISIS, all murdering Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike, all in the name of Islam, all attempting to “purify the world” by demanding conversion, submission, or death, and all operating under the auspices of the Qu’ran and Islam. But somehow Secretary of State John Kerry, no doubt speaking for the Obama administration, declares that such murders and atrocities are NOT truly Islamic.

“Daesh [ISIS] is in fact nothing more than a mixture of killers, of kidnappers, of criminals, of thugs, of adventurers, of smugglers and thieves,” Kerry said. “And they are also above all apostates, people who have hijacked a great religion and lie about its real meaning and lie about its purpose and deceive people in order to fight for their purposes.”

Apostate, according to The Washington Post, has traditionally been used to describe an individual or, in the plural, a group who abandoned or renounced their religion. Kerry’s application of the term to ISIS is somewhat ironic considering the terrorist organization has justified its attacks on other Muslims by claiming the victims were apostates themselves, which suggests ISIS militants are active participants in the Muslim faith.

This is not the first time Kerry has referred to ISIS as apostate. At the Saban Forum in December, Kerry said the terrorist organization is “a mixture of killers and kidnappers, smugglers, thieves, and apostates who have hijacked a religion and combined a medieval thinking with modern weapons to wage an especially savage brand of war.”

Kerry is no religious expert, nor is Obama. There are plenty of Islamic Imams who will say that what these radical Islamic groups such as ISIS are doing is carrying out, to the letter, the implementation of the Qu’ran and the Hadith in order to impose Islam on the entire world in preparation for end days.

The biggest problem is that when Kerry and Obama denied the truth about Islam and its objectives, they prevent the country and the world from defending itself against this virulent and violent form of Islam.
