Katie Couric Apologizes for Manipulating Audio in Anti-Gun Documentary

The heat must have gotten to Katie Couric, because she's finally fessing up to manipulating audio in her new documentary to make gun owners look incapable of defending their arguments.

The reporter's film, Under The Gun, sparked controversy when it showed Couric go back and forth with gun owners from the Virginia Citizens Defense League. The movie's handling of the debate drew criticism from even liberal outlets like NPR, which charge that the documentary would fall far short of their journalistic standards if it had been made for them.

Initially, Couric tried to downplay the accusations leveled against Under The Gun,┬ábut now she “takes responsibility” as executive producer of the film, although she claims she objected to the way the scene was cut when she was first shown it by the director. How ironic that Couric tries to pass the buck onto someone else while claiming to “take responsibility.”
