Kasich on Religious Liberty Laws: ‘Chill Out, Get Over It’


Standing apart in a Republican primary field that started out with 17 candidates is tough.  It seems that only Donald Trump so far has truly succeeded at emerging from the crowd.  John Kasich — though he has a strongly conservative record as the governor of Ohio — has attempted to stand out by tagging himself as the Republican that Democrats could vote for.

While this strategy could pay dividends in a general election, it is hard to get to the general without first winning over the Republican base — something Kasich has thus far failed to do.

Kasich further alienated many conservatives on Sunday with controversial remarks seeming to condemn the recent religious liberty law signed by North Carolina’s governor.  To see what governor Kasich had to say on Face The Nation, watch the video below.
