Judge Orders Discovery Process Begin For Clinton’s Private Email System

U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan, who seems to be taking the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) seriously, is holding Clinton’s feet to the fire along with those of her State Department cohorts who have been trying to hide her cache of emails for lo these many years.

Sullivan ruled on Tuesday that State Department officials and top aides to Clinton should be questioned under oath as to whether they impeded federal open records laws through the use of a private server from 2009 through 2013 when Clinton was secretary of state. The decision actually arose from a suit seeking more information on aid Huma Abedin’s employment arrangements with Clinton, which included working simultaneously for the State Department, the Clinton Foundation, Clinton’s personal office, and a consulting firm, which would not be permitted for a full time State Department employee. So perhaps the truth will come out through this side door investigation.
