Carter orders 50,000 Iranian students in US to report to immigration office with view to deporting those in violation of their visas. On 27 December 1979, US appeals court allows deportation of Iranian students found in violation
President Carter sent thousands back to Iran who were in violation of their visas. It is clear that the democrat party supported the broad-brush approach to deportation when it was their guy in office and they held the congress. They were more Trumpy than Trump himself.
Candidate Donald Trump is far more open minded. He simply wants to target by ideology, not singular national origin they way Carter did. Just like President Obama’s Syrian migrant mess, Jimmy Carter also brought the Iranian issue on himself.
While the caterwauling against Trump will abate only until he speaks next, his critics would do well to do things like read about issues. It seems every time Trump stirs up a hornets nest with an “unheard of” proposal, we find out his critics heroes have already done it before.
It’s like his staff actually reads about the issues. Perhaps more leaders should try it.

Allowed to expand into any kind of an area or country majority, it dominates, subjugates, and destroys or drives out any other religious group. Adherents are mandated to do so in the Qu’ran. That is why Islam cannot be allowed to expand in the West.
Islam is a cult – not a benign comparison of other religions. It is fundamentally incompatible with the cultural, legal, and social systems of Western civilization, and it is incompatible with Judeo-Christian ethics, morals, values, and teaching. Judeo-Christianity (as well as other religions) and Islam cannot co-exist. The earlier that we realize that and take the steps necessary to protect ourselves from the effects of imposition of Islam, the better.
But yet they are blasting Mr Trump for wanting to protect America from extreme islamoc/muslim Terrost.
Sent our economy in the toilet. Crashed choppers never even made it to the hostages. What a failure. Couldn’t do anything effectively.
That, right there is why no one is bashing Carter for doing the same thing!!

What he did and Trump wants to do is Very different. He didn’t “deport students” ……… Carter’s attorney general, Benjamin Civiletti, on Nov. 13, 1979, ordered all Iranians with student visas to report to U.S. immigration officials by Dec. 14 or else face possible deportation and….. by Sept. 22, 1980, nearly 60,000 students had registered as required, about 430 had been deported and 5,000 had left voluntarily. …….
annnnnnd one more thing! lol Carter acted against “Iranian nationals”, NOT an entire religion…lol
