Islamic State Magazine: Jesus Is ‘a Slave of Allah’

The most recent edition of the Islamic State magazine Dabiq, the editors express a desire to help “Crusaders understand why Muslims hate and fight them.”  Their goal is quite simple, if torture and rape won’t convince the Christian world to convert to Islam, then perhaps convincing them at a cerebral level that Jesus is a slave of Allah and that the Bible has it wrong, will result in conversion and the salvation of the world to Islam.

The cover story, “Break the Cross,” argues that Jesus will do precisely that upon his return: “break the cross, kill the swine, and put aside the jizyah [infidels’ tax, assuming all the infidels will have been killed].” “The true religion of Jesus Christ is a pure monotheistic submission – called Islam… when he returns in the final days, the Messiah will adhere to the Law of Muhammad and wage jihad for the cause of Allah,” the article argues, citing Islamic doctrine.

“In essence, we explain why they must abandon their infidelity and accept Islam, the religion of sincerity and submission to the Lord of the heavens and the earth,” the editors write.

Among their reasons are that Jesus himself is a “slave of Allah,” according to Ja’far, a cousin of Muhammad. “We say about him like our prophet taught us – that he is the slave of Allah, His messenger, His [chosen] spirit, and His word which He cast into the pure virgin Mary,” Ja’far is quoted as saying.

The truth about Jesus Christ is found in Islam according to the article, because it is monotheistic and Christianity is polytheistic due to the belief in the Trinity.  It makes the claim that the four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are not trustworthy because they were not written by Jesus.  The articles also states that the New Testament as a whole is unreliable, as much of it was written by the “criminal and treacherous Jew”, Paul of Tarsus.

As for St. Paul, he is referred to in turn as a “criminal” and “treacherous Jew” who “intentionally sought to deviate the monotheistic Nazarenes in order to tarnish Jesus’ name – even if it meant Paul’s own persecution.” The Holy Trinity being an essential concept of St. Paul’s writings is a form of polytheism, according to Islamic State jihadists, one intended to deceive Christians.

Interestingly, much of their doctrine comes from the Old Testament, which in the Hebrew language gives foundation to the truth of the Trinity being cohesive with monotheism.  In Genesis, in the creation account, the Hebrew says, “Let Us make man in Our image”.  The Trinitarian doctrine is not merely a New Testament deviation made up by Paul the apostle, but part of the Bible as a whole.

It makes the claim that, because there are four gospels, none of which are written by Jesus himself, no part of the New Testament is trustworthy, most of all the crucifixion.” “Jesus was not crucified,” the article argues, quoting Muhammad, who lived 600 years later. The claim that Jesus did not die on the cross appears in the Quran.

The Q’uran states that Jesus did not die on a cross, a writing that occurred 600 years after the fact, yet historians in the first century confirm that Jesus was crucified.  One such extra-biblical writer was Josephus, who wrote in Josephus, Antiquities 18.63-64 that Jesus was condemned by the Romans to die.

About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he … wrought surprising feats…. He was the Christ. When Pilate …condemned him to be crucified, those who had . . . come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day he appeared … restored to life…. And the tribe of Christians … has … not disappeared.

The article spends time attempting to prove that their writings are more pure and accurate than that of the Bible under these guidelines:

So how could one determine that a scripture is true? The Quran is the word of the Almighty that was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad and preserved in its original form until this day. There are at least three major conditions that any intelligent person could deduce for the basis of authenticating a text that is claimed to be divine in origin. First, that the message is pure, untainted by pagan creed, as stark monotheism is the only acceptable form of belief for a people who reflect over the knowable universe. Second, that the message is free of any contradictions, as such is not befitting of the Wise and All-Knowing Lord. This does not mean that it is void of what might seemingly be “contradictory,” but through analysis, study and discovery, one can conclude that two ostensibly conflicting materials refer to different situations or contexts. Rather, there should be no irreconcilable contradiction. The third condition is simple chain-based authenticity. That is, it should be proven that it was passed down generation to generation by reliable transmitters, thus showing it is indeed the message given by the messenger, not by someone else.

As per the title of the article, “Break the Cross”, the goal of the writing is to “debunk once and for all” the “false Messiah – and his army, of the myths” regarding his crucifixion and divinity.

This will be when he breaks the cross, as was foretold by the Prophet Muhammad , who said, “By the One in whose Hand is my soul, very soon shall Sufis imitating Christians by celebrating the Prophet’s birthday FEATURE 49 the Son of Mary descend in your midst, being an equitable judge. He shall break the cross, kill the swine, and put aside the jizyah. Wealth shall flow until no one accepts it, and until a single prostration will be more beloved than the world and all that it contains” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).

In service to the Lord, the Creator and True King, what follows is part of the mission to break the cross, to crush the false notions of Christianity to which millions of people ignorantly adhere. Based on the above-mentioned conditions of judging a scripture’s authenticity, it shall be shown that the true religion of Jesus Christ is a pure monotheistic submission – called Islam – and that when he returns in the final days, the Messiah will adhere to the Law of Muhammad  and wage jihad for the cause of Allah

The reprehensible magazine features an article prior to “Breaking the Cross” which focuses on the “Islamic State Operations”.  The depth of depravity in IS is found here, with descriptions of the killings in the name of Allah.

As the soldiers of the Caliphate continue waging war on the forces of kufr, we take a glimpse at a number of recent operations conducted by the mujahidin of the Islamic State that have succeeded in expanding the territory of the Caliphate, or terrorizing, massacring, and humiliating the enemies of Allah. These operations are merely a selection of the numerous operations that the Islamic State has conducted on various fronts across many regions over the course of the last few months.

This is a religion of hate and terror, utterly counter to the Gospel of Jesus, which proclaims that we are to “love the Lord your God with all your strength and love your neighbor as yourself”.  Only a fool would be convinced that the message of the Islamic State is one of good and not evil.
