Mass violence has skyrocketed in Europe since the rise of ISIS, and now it appears as if migrants not formally connected with the terror organization are continuing the murders begun by the Islamic State.
This week, a mass knifing in London left one American dead and five others hurt. The attacker was a 19 year old Norwegian national of Somali origin. He had been living in the UK since 2002.
Since the attacker had lived in the UK for his entire life, with no signs of radicalization, authorities are reporting that the incident was likely a random act of violence not connected formally with terror. Of course, this fact is doing little to quell to growing anti-migrant sentiment spreading across the United Kingdom. Migrants have been publically tied to terror for years, and now ISIS’ response to the attack only adds to the characterization.
