Iraqi VP: Turkey is Pushing the World to the Brink of WWIII

Iraqi Vice President Nuri al-Maliki claims that Erdogan’s double standards and aggressive policies are threatening a new world war. The chess board that is the war in Syria is definitely a confusing one. And while a battle of egos and pride continues to rage, it’s the victims of ISIS that truly suffer.

Maliki and his allies among Tehran-backed Shiite militia groups battling IS jihadists see Moscow as a key ally and have welcomed Russia’s growing involvement in the regional conflict.

The downing of the Russian jet has threatened ties between two major rival players in the Syrian war and raised fears it could fuel wider geopolitical conflict, although both Ankara and Moscow have stressed they want to avoid military escalation.

But the ISIS-supporting Turkish president has been nonapologetic in his actions, prompting Putin to escalate the situation.

If you’re having a difficult time wondering how this incident can really push the world into a global conflict, according the North Atlantic Charter, should Turkey call upon NATO to help them fight Russia, the United States would be obligated to join. It doesn’t take much of a stretch of the imagination to think that Obama might want a global conflict between the Islamic world and everyone else, seeing how the West has now been completely infiltrated.

It also doesn’t take much of a stretch to consider that Obama would want nothing more than to suspend the next presidential election and remain in office.
