Iran Tests Another Ballistic Missile In Violation of UN Resolutions

Iran Quickly Arming to Become Nuclear Power

The impotent and irrelevant U.S. Security Council strongly condemned Iran for the test, with the condemnation achieving absolutely nothing. The U.S. has also expressed their unhappiness with events, apparently forgetting the warnings and concern sounded by Republican congressman and citizens alike that the agreement was useless and dangerous.

“The United States is deeply concerned about Iran’s recent ballistic missile launch,” Samantha Power, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., said in a statement after the last Iranian ballistic missile test in October.

President Obama mentioned a previous Iranian missile test during a press conference and said the United States was preparing to brief the U.N. sanctions committee. He added that it would not derail the nuclear deal.

“I think what we’ll be doing is we’ll review, as we have in the past, any violations of U.N. resolutions, and we’ll deal with them much as we have in the past,” Obama said of the October incident.

By “dealing with them as we have in the past,” Obama means we will do nothing and the Iranians will continue their nuclear program, unhindered by U.N. inspections or other efforts to halt the Iranian war activities. The wonder is that anyone at all listens to Obama or gives credence to what he says.

The conclusion is that he once was, and still is, nothing more than a community organizer, with very meager diplomatic skills and understanding of geopolitical events. And like a bad Laurel and Hardy movie, the Security Council and Obama are still debating on how to respond to the previous ballistic missile test that Iran conducted in October, but taking no action. In the private sector these guys would have been fired long ago.
