The Trump administration seems to be wasting no time getting its financials in order. Just a few weeks into Donald Trump’s term, Trump tweeted that the debt had been lowered by $60 billion. Reports are also circulating that Trump’s first budget will oversee the largest reduction of the federal workforce since WWII.
So we know how Trump plans to save money. But how will he make it?
He certainly doesn’t seem to be willing to raise taxes very much. While he has suggested that he might be okay with a small tax increase on the rich, most of the government’s extra income seems contingent on a growing economy, not higher tax rates.
But that’s not their only plan.
The Trump Administration also seems to be eyeing unpaid debts held by foreign governments — some going back half a century.

What a ridiculous hypocrite when he hasn’t paid thousands of people who did work for him and filed bankruptcy numerous times not to mention paid no taxes state many years and federal one we know of that people is not the definition of success nor has it any morals or values of dignity
Mark F. Walker in fact the loan was made over 40 years ago and repayment has been pursued by every administration including Obama but Cambodia has refused to even set up a payment plan. Now whether the loan was appropriately given or not in Nixon reign is another story entirely. Whether it was right what we did to Cambodia or not is another story. But, Trump didn’t create this issue….
Mark F. Walker ask yourself why Obama didn’t forgive their debt. He certainly could have while he was president. He certainly sent at least that much to other corrupt nations each year.
