The Trump administration seems to be wasting no time getting its financials in order. Just a few weeks into Donald Trump’s term, Trump tweeted that the debt had been lowered by $60 billion. Reports are also circulating that Trump’s first budget will oversee the largest reduction of the federal workforce since WWII.
So we know how Trump plans to save money. But how will he make it?
He certainly doesn’t seem to be willing to raise taxes very much. While he has suggested that he might be okay with a small tax increase on the rich, most of the government’s extra income seems contingent on a growing economy, not higher tax rates.
But that’s not their only plan.
The Trump Administration also seems to be eyeing unpaid debts held by foreign governments — some going back half a century.
Read about how the U.S. is demanding repayment for Cambodian bombings on the next page:
Highly successful my$#%&!@*!!
I love these obviously unbiased stories, by people that weren’t there.
Yada yada yada, blah blah blah.
While collecting debs, seize “reverend” Al Sharpton’s property to get his taxes in order.
Thieving, big-mouth scoundrel.
Trump should start Collecting now! He is a Great President! He’ll get the Wall build once these Debts are settled; that the right way to do it.
And?
Actually the trail started in Cambodia and came into Vietnam, that’s why the bombing there. The Cambodian government knew this and allowed it and they were told what would happen if they didn’t help put a stop to it.
Joe Oliveira we still had no right to cross borders!
Whoever said Israel is our only ally, couldn’t be more wrong. Israel is one of the chief reasons we are constantly involved in regime changes in the middle east. I suggest you research the Strategy for Israel in the 1980’s and The Greater Israel Project. Of course we have other reasons too, protecting the dollar, controlling supply of natural resources, etc. But Israel is quite high on that list.
Kathy, the only thing he managed to do, is get a SCOTUS pick nominated. Congress did the rest. Everything else was either defeated in the courts and Congress. His tax plan is ridiculous. But go on thinking he’s accomplished anything.
