Indiana Gov. Mike Pence has announced that, starting in 2015, new food stamp applicants that are “able bodied” and don’t have children must work at least 20 hours, or be in job training, to receive food stamps.
Other states are considering re-instituting the requirement, like Maine and New Mexico, after it was waved following the financial crisis in 2008.

Yesa you are doing the right thing make them earn there stamps, most of them are just using food stamps to have more kids so they get more money from the government and most are just too lazy to work or have no real education
everyone should have to work
Carl you are an idiot. 75% of those getting food stamps work 40 to 60 hours a week. The rest are disabled and elderly. To stop these programs. Make lae all companies and organizations have to pay back the federal and state governments plus interest. All the aid their employee’s receive, Including welfare, food stamps, housing, medicare and medicaid, transportation, educational grants, energy assistance, wick, and any othe rgovernment program that fights poverty. You talk lazy, How is multi- billion dollar industries pay a negative tax bill Corporate welfare could bay decades of social help in just one year with the welfare they get. This doesn’t include the trillions of taxable dollars going to offshore accounts…
