Hungarian Prime Minister Decries Open Borders
In a recent speech, Orban laid out some of the dire consequences of open borders and questioned the motives of those who support the policy.
Ladies and gentlemen, what we face is nothing less than the challenge of finding ourselves at the gateway to the implementation of a deliberate conceptual project, which could be described as left-wing and which seeks to marginalize the nation states of Europe.
Where this project has failed to overcome Christianity and the identity of the nation state – in conventional political struggle, it will strive to eliminate it on ethnic grounds.
By whom and on what authority were the European leaders tasked with not only admitting but transporting to the European continent hundreds of thousands of people from groups outside European culture, so that European cultural identity will be called into question?
Orban has stated that it was unacceptable “to have this forced upon Hungary,” adding that if Europe is tasked with solving the migration crisis and other global problems on its own, “we will crush the lifestyle … values and strengths we have developed in the past several hundreds of years.”
Orban also postulated that the Croation Prime Minister, Zoran Milanovic, was simply an envoy of “the Socialist International” seeking to overwhelm European nation states with a flood of migrants, and suggested that far left billionaire investor George Soros was providing direction to activists seeking to compromise European nations by encouraging unlimited immigration from the Middle East.
While there is no question the Middle East is in turmoil and groups such as ISIS and Al Shabab are fomenting death and destruction throughout the region causing many people to flee for their lives, it is also entirely likely that power players like Soros and other leftist politicos are determined to not let the crisis go to waste in their ongoing effort to undermine western democracy and the cultural and religious values upon which it is built.
