First off, Congress has no power to prosecute. They (Trey Gowdy-Chairman of the House Benghazi Select Committee) have to turn it over to the DOJ, and with “Friend of Clinton”, AG Loretta Lynch the bottom line there, its a risky move. Risky that odds are Lynch will do her best to make sure the outcome favors Hillary. Not a risk to be taken, if there is a second route.
The other reason this is dragging on so long, and this is my opinion, is that Gowdy is trying to drag out the investigation. If he refers charges against Hillary now, DOJ will let her go or Obama will pardon her. If Trey can make the investigation drag on, not referring charges until after Obama has left office, and (hopefully) a Republican administration is in place, which could include Attorney General Trey Gowdy, then Hillary Clinton’s goose is cooked! There will be no one around who can pardon her or protect her”.
As far as the statements surrounding the blank server, Deborah Wells a lawyer representing the Denver-based computer firm Platte River Networks, who managed the server for Clinton said:
“The information had been migrated over to a different server for purposes of transition,” Wells told the Washington Post. “To my knowledge the data on the old server is not available now on any servers or devices in Platte River Network’s control.”
Many are stunned by this, asking where is the back up? They are handling the private correspondence for the US Secretary of State, and there is nothing backed up, somewhere? The hits just keep coming from those embroiled in what’s being called “Sever-Gate“.
