At Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, Colorado, earlier last year a member of their “Cultural Arms Club” led the entire student body in an Arabic version of our Pledge of Allegiance, replacing the words “under God” with “under Allah.”
Principal Tom Lopez has come under fire for ´pushing an Islamic agenda´, which he denies, stating the move was to “destroy the barriers, embrace the cultures” that exist within the school.

I grew up in a Christian family and I am currently non religious. I just don’t believe in knocking something because it is different than you, unless it hurts others, then its fair game to knock it. Honestly the only way I see Islam hurt people is by the theocrats and radicals in the middle east. I’ve not read either the bible and quran in their entirety, but ive read plenty to see the same basic principles from the Abrhamic religions. Sure, there might be things we dont understand or like in the Quran, but I have also found similar things in the bible. And Gary, if I ever have children, they will choose their own belief system on their own, its in no place for me to force my beliefs upon them.
