Gun permits and the subsequent purchase of weapons have risen substantially in Cologne, Germany since the mass sexual assaults on New Year’s Eve of 2015.
The police have lost the public trust, as their response to the assaults, committed by marauding gangs of “foreign men”, was paltry. Now citizens feel they must arm themselves in order to feel safe in public places.
Estimates of at least eight to ten application requests are being presented to the Düsseldorf police, spokesperson Andre Hartwich stated. At this pace, the 1500 requests for 2015, will be more than doubled, though Hartwich believes the interest will decrease.
Thus far, Frankfurt Police procedural office reports that they have had at least 13 applications a day, in comparison to the previous year’s one to two a day.
When crime happens and the police to nothing, whether by government compulsion or negligence, the people will rise up to protect themselves, it is human nature to protect one’s own life.

Pauly Bidne who is afraid? I’m not. There are three types of people in this world, those who are afraid and unprepared, those who are unafraid and unprepared(that is called foolish)and those who are unafraid and prepared. Do you have a fire extinguisher in your house? How about jumper cables or a spare tire and jack in your car? Does that mean your afraid? No. It means you have some common sense. If you went to my car and looked in the trunk you would find a tire and jack, a case of water, a blanket, a lighter and matches, rope, a first aid kit, a few MRE meals, an axe and small shovel. You’d also find a loaded AR 15 with lots of ammo. I have never used most of those items but they are better to have and not need than need and not have. It’s called pre planning.

LOL yeah but they forgot to mention that those ” guns ” can only shoot blanks and CS gas and NOT real bullets since it is almost impossible as a regular citizens in Germany to get a permit for a real gun.
