Governors Of Alabama And Michigan Refuse Syrian Refugees

The recent attacks opened the eyes of many people in the United States including the Governors of Alabama and Michigan because of the fact that at least one individual responsible for the Paris attacks was found to be carrying a Syrian passport.

With millions of people crossing into Europe from Syria, and potentially hundreds of thousands more headed for the United States in the coming weeks, many Governor’s from across the United States including the Governor of Alabama and the Governor of Michigan have made it clear that Syrian refugees are not welcome in their states.

So far President Obama could only call the Governor’s response “shameful” when he found out their stance against welcoming Syrian refugees into their states but the recent terrorist attacks in Paris do highlight the fact that more has to be done to confirm the identities of refugees before accepting them.
