Governor McAuliffe Empowers Leftist Vandalism of Confederate Monuments

Virgina Governor Terry McAuliffe wants to empower leftist extremists in his home state. After the riots in Charlottesville, VA, which happened in part because of public references to the Confederacy, McAullife publically supported efforts to tear down Confederate monuments.

“Unfortunately, the recent events in Charlottesville demonstrate that monuments celebrating the leadership of the Confederacy have become flashpoints for hatred, division and violence,” McAuliffe said in a statement released Wednesday evening.

[…]

“I hope we can all now agree that these symbols are a barrier to progress, inclusion and equality in Virginia and, while the decision may not be mine to make, I believe the path forward is clear.”

That path is, of course, to tear the monuments down.

When more violence erupts due to efforts to tear these monuments down, McAuliffe will now bear much of the blame. But he may not care, considering he has yet to condemn the leftist violence that happened in his state just days ago.
