A couple who have lived in Miami Shores for over 17 years is suing the city after being threatened with steep fines for the way they keep their front yard. The trouble came after Miami Shores changed its zoning laws two years ago and insisted Hermine Ricketts and her husband Tom Carroll remove their vegetable garden. The city was serious, threatening a $50 per day fine.
That’s what forced the couple to file suit. Watch the video, learn how much they are suing for and see the vegetable garden the city insisted they rip up on the NEXT PAGE:
They started this b******t in my parents neighbourhood too. Anything to take our money
Drop those taxes, everyone of them. We have enough people without jobs that have the skills to do what is needed in the cities such as fixing roads landscaping or building bus stops or painting lines or posting signs etc. Use them all, use people on community service for construction labor clean ups and cleaning up parks bathrooms and other such things, stop wasting resources and then taxing people for your waste. It’s wrong if a person is capable of working then they should be put to work. Homeless here is a solution. Take a large dirt lot area put in slabs or gravel drives with a pit and place for tents and each spot has a 6×6 enclosure for animals only dogs or cats others must be in cages such as birds or rabbits etc. A basic tent is pretty cheap, in most states a three seasin tent works but in some a four season or even foe those states a wooden structure with mini wood burning stove inside. None of this is hatd nor is it impossible. Yes some money might have to be put into it. But for them to stay and live there free for 6 months they will have to work. The cities can connecy with angencies for food for animals daycare for children and food for one full evening meal for everyone. Breakfast coupons can be donated by various places and all this can be used as tax right offs for each and everyone that helped. This is minimal restrictions, one have pets leashes at all times , water feed them and during harsh whether keep them inside of tent. Children are to be in childcare or with parents. This lot can be equipped with bathroom/showers two for men two for women. Each with a row of stalls of each (8) boys ages 6 go with their dad’s unless no father present. Then with mothers same with girls but they are to be kept very closely supervised no wondering at anytime. This is acceptable way to one put them to work, and they make the money for themselves. Now if they choose to be drunk and not work then they leave the tents, and the supplies given for that spot such as the hygiene supplies. And veterans can be used for security. This can be one place where they won’t get ticketed for trespassing. They can sleep eat clean up. And use the shelter facilities to handle laundry and other businesses they may have. Keeping it simple and basic is key. And also appropriate for the regions as well. You wouldn’t want to house homeless in three season tents in -5 degree weather with snow and ice. Arizona is a good example if a three season tent place for the majority of it as for certain places their needs are as for their weathers.
And People keep Voting Linerals into Power.
A little history. During WW11 here in the united states it was encouraged to grow Liberty vegetable gardens in your front yard, and a lot of people did.
Too small to real
Don’t give them any ideas now.
No only time says
F**k the government. The garden looks great
That is how Governments CONTROL people, through oppressive laws!
