Good Samaritan Saves the Life of Arizona Trooper After Ambushed and Shot

The liberal notion that if we made guns illegal then crime rates would fall is simply not correct. If their desire is the reduction of violence, it is a good one. The problem is that their solution — the abolition of guns — does not work. It makes matters worse. It violates a person’s natural right to self-defense. Therefore, gun control of the sort advocated by the left must be rejected. The good samaritan had to use the officer’s gun to shoot the suspect. Fortunately there was enough time to pull this off. Had the citizen been armed himself, the odds of surival for them both would have greatly increased

An Arizona trooper trying to help a motorist in a rollover crash was shot in an ambush-style attack by a random suspect, who was then fatally shot by a Good Samaritan driving by.

The incident started when the trooper, “came across a rollover crash and saw that a woman had been ejected from the wreckage.”

When the trooper began working to block lanes, a suspect came from an unknown direction and “ambushed” him, according to DPS.

The suspect shot him at least once in the chest-shoulder area and fought the trooper to the ground.

A passerby saw the fight unfolding and stopped to render aid to the trooper, who asked for help.

However, the suspect ignored the Good Samaritan’s orders to stop attacking the trooper.

That’s when the passerby went to his car, grabbed a gun and fatally shot the suspect, reported ABC15.

And what was the result of the armed citizen’s actions? A dead attacker and a trooper who is alive.

DPS Col. Frank Milstead said he has yet to speak to the passerby, but he had this message for him:

“Thank you because I don’t know if my trooper would be alive today without your assistance.

Once again we see the pattern play out where an armed citizen is an effective deterrent to crime. If only the liberals could climb out of their make-believe world and look around, maybe they could figure that out, too.
