Global Warming Expedition Gets Stuck in Arctic Sea Because of Too Much Ice

Warmists regularly send out ice cutters and other ships to measure the extent of the melting of ice at the poles. They are looking for quantifiable evidence that major cities will soon be under water.

The Polar Ocean Challenge set out on a two-month campaign hoping to prove that the ice at the North Pole was melting. As the expedition’s website explains, the group aimed to show “that the Arctic sea ice coverage shrinks back so far now in the summer months that sea that was permanently locked up now can allow passage through.”

The global warming expedition expected to be able to sail all around the Arctic Ocean through the Northeast and Northwest Passages because they assumed the ice would be gone, but they have been stymied because ice blocks most of the route they planned to take.

In fact, the expedition is stuck because there is too much ice. This is similar to another research vessel, the CCGS Amundsen, that got stuck in ice during an Arctic expedition to study global warming. Johnny Leclair, assistant commissioner for the Coast Guard, said that the icy conditions are the “worst he’s seen in 20 years.”

One should not imagine that this will change the minds of “global warmists” since billions of dollars of grants, gifts and fund raising are at stake, and many of these warmists have built entire careers on this junk science. They will be back with new claims and explanations to prove to us why what we are seeing and experiencing is actually not what we are seeing and experiencing. As the cheating husband said to his wife when caught in flagrante dilecto with his paramore, “are you  going to believe me or your lying eyes?

It is becoming clear that our “lying eyes” are much more reliable than the claims of these climate phonies. And it is always a welcome interlude to see the proponents of global warning so clearly exposed and their ridiculous claims blasted to smithereens by facts and clear evidence such as the Polar Ocean Challenge and the CCGS Amundson getting stuck in the ice that is not supposed to be there. That is a delicious dose of irony.
