When John McCain and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey paid the Navajo Nation a visit on Friday, they probably didn’t expect to get chased out of the reservation by a group of exceedingly angry Native Americans.
The pair went to celebrate the Native Americans contribution during World War II, whose indecipherable language helped keep messages secret from enemies.
The protesters had already gathered at the Navajo Nation Museum, and once the realized that McCain Ducey had shown up, darted outside and literally chased them off their reservation shouting, “Get off our land.”

All of our Native Americans have a portion of just AMERICAN blood in them Now… very few if any are 100 percent Native American so claiming that land as your own is your American portion claiming it. The Native Indians did not Own Land, Therefore, the land they have is just like the lands regular Americans “OWN” If the government needs it for any reason they have the right to buy it or just take it over….. You don’t like it? Neither does other Americans when their land is taken over by the government. You can try to preserve your history, but any Native American should tell you there is NO WAY to stay in the past forever, life moves on to its own drumbeats….. The Pipeline is needed and almost already built. Now if you are concerned with your land, you should be figuring out ways to ENSURE the pipeline stays in good working order. Think about the bigger picture rather than thinking of it as a loss, think of it as a way to have cheaper energy. It will not destroy your land. You said their was an oil leak… what do you say when a volcano explodes or when an earthquake happens? Those are God’s ways of taking away the pressure under the earth. Man’s way of using the oil under the earth may very well relieve the pressure the oil is making on our substructure. I am sorry about the oil spill you say you have had. I sure hope it was not because you were punishing the people for building the pipeline. cutting off your nose to spite your face. However, if it were a real oil spill YOU are absolutely right they should clean it up. God gave us this Earth to LIVE on it would be nice to be able to keep everything beautiful, however you can do both if you think about it. God loves all people if You want to live in the past the way your people live, then you will have to start thinking about your future., because pure Indians have died off, now you are just as much regular Americans as we all are… Because of that love your history but embrace the future.
