Imagine the chaos that could result from allowing children – some in the midst of puberty – to share bathrooms with the opposite sex. It sounds like a bad storyline from a ’90s teen movie.
The change apparently was caused by a handful of nutty parents who think their children are transgender and have a secret, hidden identity.
“They told us they have children who are on the gender spectrum,” PTA President Ellen Schatz told KGO. “They may have been born biologically with one gender, but they identified with a different gender, and that they weren’t comfortable going to the bathroom.”
This isn’t the first time in recent weeks that this debate has popped up in a school setting. Just last week, a dispute erupted at a Missouri high school over a transgendered boy being allowed to use the girl’s locker room. If these events are any indication of things to come, this issue could grow substantially worse.
