FRANCE: It’s an ‘Act of War’, GERMANY: Don’t Blame Refugees, ISIS: Was Us Mixed With Migrants

French President Francois Hollande has declared the attacks in Paris an “act of war.”

Speaking this morning about the suicide and gun attacks which are believed to have killed at least 120 people, Mr. Hollande asserted that the attacks were “committed by a terrorist army, the Islamic State group, a jihadist army, against France, against the values that we defend everywhere in the world, against what we are: A free country that means something to the whole planet.”

He said France “will be merciless toward the barbarians of Islamic State group.”

France “will act by all means anywhere, inside or outside the country” and described the attack as “cowardly”.

Announcing three days national mourning, and raising the country’s threat level to its highest possible point, Mr. Hollande spoke of  “the terrorist menace,” and announced that he would address the French parliament on Monday.

He said in a televised address: “I pay homage to the country’s defenders who fought the terrorists yesterday.

“Everyone has given their upmost and will be putting in their best efforts in the day to come.”

“Even if France is wounded, she will rise.”

The German Vice-Chancellor, however, expressed apprehension to the idea of cracking down on migrants.

Germany’s vice-chancellor has warned against a crackdown on migrants coming to Europe because of the deadly Paris terror attacks.

Sigmar Gabriel says those seeking refuge in Europe shouldn’t be made to suffer just because “they come from those regions where terror is being exported to us and to the world.”

Chancellor Angela Merkel’s deputy’s told reporters in Berlin on Saturday that “we stand to protect them too, and to ensure that they don’t have to suffer because murderers in France are threatening people and Europe in the name of a religion.”

However, one of the attackers in Paris was a migrant who had come to Europe just six weeks ago.

Reports early on Saturday that one of the gunmen was found to have been carrying a Syrian passport have been followed by an announcement by Greek minister for citizen protection Nikos Tosca that the individual was masquerading as a refugee, reports GreekAntenna news.

The unnamed killer was registered on the Greek island of Leros in the southern Aegean sea on the third of October. The Island is just ten miles from the Turkish coast and has been a major point of ingress for so-called ‘refugees’ into Europe, alongside neighbour island Kos.

The news will come as a major shock to the European establishment who have mocked and derided those who have warned that the migrant route into Europe would be exploited by those wishing to do harm to Europe. Latest United Nations estimates show over 800,000 migrants have passed through the Mediterranean on their way to Europe this year, with 660,700 landing in Greece and 142,400 in Italy.

These developments will undoubtedly shake the EU’s stance on the immigration crisis, but it remains to be seen what new policy changes may come, if any do.
