Foreign Mexican Workers Sent Home Enough Money in the Last 11 Months to COMPLETELY Fund Border Wall

According to CNN Money, the broken records reflected a weakening of the peso and an alleged threat by the Trump Administration to tax remittances.

The remittance issue comes at a time when debates continue about how the government will fund the $21.6 billion wall and fence project expected to enhance southwestern border security measures.

$21.6 billion dollars to build the wall. $26.1 billion dollars sent home by Mexican foreign workers in just the last few months.

What are the odds of that?

More importantly, it is important not to conflate the behaviors of legal foreign workers with illegals. Provided they did indeed enter this country legally, there are far worse things folks could be doing then legally working hard to send money back home to their families, and they deserve to be treated accordingly. The real question centers around the fact importing foreign workers who fail to reinvest in their local economies is not a guaranteed economic blueprint for host nations. More often than not such policies [bringing in foreign workers] only benefits the 0.001%. That is the real thing to consider – encouraging the influx of foreign workers tends to benefit the economic elites. But to hear liberals talk, it is a “moral” issue and the blue-color worker the sinner for wanting to preserve their own livelihoods.
