Ford Confirms Movement of Auto Plant, 2,800 Jobs to Mexico

President Obama continues to sing the praises of our strong economy.  Hillary Clinton acknowledges that it’s doing terribly, but says she wants to keep things exactly the way they are.  Bernie Sanders wants to blow it all up and have the government control the private sector.

One man who is not happy about the state of affairs — and isn’t afraid to show it — is GOP frontrunner, Donald Trump.  The billionaire businessman made his displeasure clear with Ford’s decision to send 2,800 jobs to Mexico while investing $1.6 billion in a new plant there.

The Detroit News reports:

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Tuesday slammed Ford Motor Co.’s decision to build a $1.6 billion assembly plant in Mexico as an “absolute disgrace” that would not happen if he becomes president.

“Our dishonest politicians and the special interests that control them are laughing in the face of all American citizens,” Trump said in a statement on the day of the presidential primary in Wisconsin — a rust-belt state that, like Michigan, has lost manufacturing jobs. “These ridiculous, job-crushing transactions will not happen when I am president.”

It doesn’t sound like Donald Trump won’t be eating Oreos while driving a Ford Focus anytime soon.
