Main stream media continues to insist that they practice honest journalism, though it is obvious they are in the tank for Democrats and Liberals. It is easy to recognize in the writing and the broadcasting, but harder to catch the red-handed abuse in flagrant dilecto. Of course that is one reason why interest in newspapers, magazines and TV is waning.
At one time, Walter Cronkite was “the most trusted man in the nation,” but it turned out he was also a liberal party hack disguised as a journalist. That was a shock to many, and may have started the downward trajectory of the media in general. It turns out that some so-called journalists take their marching orders directly from party pols, which was recently clearly shown due to a Freedom of Information Act request made by Gawker.com.
The beneficiary of the favorable treatment is Hillary Clinton, whose handlers claim she is not getting positive coverage from the news. But Hillary and her team are masters of dirty tricks and manipulation, and the claim that they are not being treated fairly is yet one more example of media manipulation. In a recent case study from Gawker, we see how Marc Ambinder of The Atlantic was instructed, to the word, how to describe a speech Clinton gave, which would then provide a special payoff to him for his obedience.
