A billboard in St. Augustine, Florida suddenly appeared that infuriated its citizens. On the 14-foot sign are the words “Islam Bloody Islam”’ written in a red. Underneath, written in white, are the words “Doomed by its Doctrine.”

Some of the citizens of St. Augustine, Florida were outraged over the billboard. One women told CBS 47 news that “this is horrifying because this tells me that they want everyone in our whole city to read this.” “We should be outraged that a billboard with this message could in any way represent our community as a whole.”

I won’t sign the petition. Idiot liberals not facing the truth as usual.
The truth hurt them but they have no qualms about hurting us.
We aren’t talking about the confederate flag or American history. We are talking about current Islam. But let me entertain your argument for the sake of debate.
I live in Florida and I am indifferent about the confederate flag. When I look at it I think Dukes of Hazard not slavery. The flag it’s self doesn’t symbolize racism or slavery, it represents a part of history. There are plenty of African Americans that honor the confederate flag because confederate history isn’t just about slavery. So because you may see it as a symbol of racism and slavery, doesn’t mean that everyone does.
So if you are allowed to look at a flag and only see what you want, then I or anyone else is allowed to view Islam in the singular light we want. Doesn’t mean I am right, doesn’t mean you are right. If anything it means we are both wrong.
Your “small %” statement sounds good in theory but let’s look at what a “small %” really means. If you listen to Obama it’s 1%, but there are stats showing as many as 20% are radicalized. Defining “radicalized” is part of that huge discrepancy. I personally feel that if you know someone that plans to hurt others and do nothing to prevent it, you are just as guilty. Just because you didn’t pull the trigger or blow yourself up doesn’t make you innocent if you don’t at least try to stop them. If I had a family member or friend that planned to walk into a mosque and kill people I would do everything in my power to stop them. If I don’t do anything I am condoning what they are doing. So just because 1% are willing to do the killing, there are many more that are just as guilty of condoning the killers. Even if just 1% are willing to kill that is 16 million people, population of FL is around 19 million. While 16 million is a small number of the 1.6 billion Muslims, that is still a lot of people willing to kill for an ideology. Let’s say that we meet in the middle on the radicalized number at 10%, that’s 160 million, half the population of the US.
Until the truly peaceful Muslims become active in stopping those among them from killing others, you can’t blame people for not viewing Islam favorably.
My initial comment actually had very little to do with terrorism tho, it was more about the treatment of women, children, and homosexuals. You have to agree that those aspects are “outrageous”. And I never said all Muslims. I said the world should be more outraged over these things than a billboard.
It freaking boggles my mind these freaking apologists that try to defend this godless cult of a religion called islam by throwing up the crusades or blaming christians! I don’t see christians blowing$#%&!@*up and murdering innocent people by the thousands. Word of caution, don’t defend islam within my earshot, I’ll eye gouge and monkey stomp your sorry$#%&!@*!
