FL City Changes Name of Highway It Claims ‘Racist’…Into Something Actually Socially Divisive

“The Old Dixie Highway has been replaced because it represents a time when it divided white and black neighborhoods,” said Mayor Thomas Masters.  The new name, “President Barrack Obama Highway”, also represents a massive division between black and white, yet perhaps only history will prove that statement to be true.

The Old Dixie Highway also carries many unfortunate memories for the neighborhood’s mostly-black residents. For starters, it served as the dividing line between the black and white neighborhoods. Dora Johnson told reporters she’d once witnessed a Ku Klux Klan cross burning along that same road many years ago. Upon seeing the sign go up she declared, “I’m over-happy, I’m over-happy.”

Mayor Mastors also points out that the newly named highway intersects with Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.

“…where Doctor Martin Luther King Junior and his son, President Barack Obama will shake hands together.”

Again, another disconnect from reality, as Dr. King would be saddened by the race baiting Obama and his cronies promote.  This Administration and those on the left have either forgotten or utterly missed the mark of Dr. King’s plea… “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

The renaming of a highway will not fix the racial divide that Obama has had a hand in creating.
