The left, the mainstream media, and even some Republicans expected bombshells from ex-FBI Director James Comey's testimony this week.
Well, there were bombshells in the testimony, but they were hardly the kind that will worry Donald Trump. Instead, the most surprising thing may be the number of things Trump and Comey agreed upon.
Sure, there were a few details that Comey and Trump remember differently, but the major stuff is remarkably consistent. Both claim that Comey was fired due to the Russian election tampering investigation. Both agree that Trump himself is not under investigation. And both claim that Trump's ask for loyalty was not a demand for action.
So the bombshells that did exist were devastating to Democrats, not Trump.
