After Lois Lerner departed the IRS under a dark cloud for using the agency’s power to staunch conservative groups, her replacement, John Koskinen now finds himself saddled with the same pressure to leave or be driven from office. House Oversight committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) penned a detailed missive to President Obama requesting him to immediately remove IRS chief John Koskinen from his post. Chaffetz emphasized the point by standing next to a stack of paper graphically representing the alleged 24,000 “lost” emails Lerner claims vanished into the ether during a glitch with her computer.
