New details are emerging about the identities and motives of the Muslim couple who went on a shooting spree in San Bernardino this week, and it is now being reported that they had ties to radical Islamic groups. Tashfeen Malik even went so far as to pledge allegiance to ISIS in a post on Facebook before the attack.
This should come as no surprise to anyone watching the global spread of radical Islamic extremists around the world, unless you were listening to our president, that is.
For the second time in as many months, our president managed to publicly undermine ISIS's ability to carry out such attacks on the very day that major attacks inspired by the terrorist organization took place.
In an interview filmed on the day of the shooting in San Bernardino, our president said that our country was safe from ISIS-style attacks here in the United States. This came after he made his widely criticized remarks mere hours before ISIS launched its attack on Paris in which he stated that the organization had been “contained.”
This connection now proves that ISIS can no longer be ignored by American citizens, regardless of the narrative our president tries to cast.
