Once again the question as to whether Ted Cruz has a constitutional right to run for President of the United States is in the news. Donald Trump, who strongly pursued the argument that Obama was not an American citizen and therefore could not be President, is now stating a similar argument about Cruz.
On Twitter yesterday, Trump tweeted, “If Ted Cruz doesn’t clean up his act, stop cheating and doing negative ads, (I’ll) sue him for not being a natural born citizen.” He also tweeted, “Do Americans really want a Canadian born president? First non-native born in history?”, as well as “…natural born means born on American soil.”
Trump may not have to file suit as one has already been filed by five Cullman County, Alabama voters who are seeking a judgement stating that Ted Cruz is not eligible to run for President of the United States. They believe there is enough evidence that Cruz is a Canadian citizen and therefore not an American citizen.

I don’t know – the law is very tricky in ts wording and for me – I would like to KNOW that the possible Republican nominee to go up against the Democrat IS ELIGIBLE BEFORE THE NOMINATION. Does no one think that the Democrats might use this issue to throw the competition and win? There are a lot of varying degrees of citizenship in this country BUT specifics for eligibility to be its leader. Not picking at Cruz, here, but rather the logic in BEING SURE before betting the farm on one who may not own it.
Lori: I do know the law and I have offered to volunteer to testify on several sites. I have direct personal experience with every one of the issues under these complaints. I can prove that neither Cruz or Rubio are Natural Born Citizens and are probably not legally naturalized. the so called legal experts are not addressing the laws that are the legal definition of what is involved, they are merely expressing their opinions not the actual facts of the law. I find this extremely disturbing that so many experts are so completely incompetent.
