Families of Sandy Hook Victims Sue Remington for ‘Causing’ the Shooting

Legal experts don’t think the families of Sandy Hook victims will be able to successfully win their case against Remington Arms.

Legal experts have said the Sandy Hook families’ case is unlikely to succeed, thanks to a 2005 federal law designed to shield gun companies from liability when their products are misused by criminals. Last year, a Connecticut superior court judge struck down the Sandy Hook case, ruling, as their attorneys had argued, that the gun companies are protected from the lawsuit by that law.

With Republicans in Congress blocking any national action on stricter gun control laws, including a renewed ban on military-style weapons, the families of nine victims and one survivor of the 2012 shooting have appealed to the state supreme court. Part of the goal of their lawsuit, they have said, is to get access to the internal marketing documents of gun companies and shed light on the companies’ strategies for selling military-style guns to a civilian market.

But, the problem is that we are only a Democrat-controlled government away from losing our 2nd amendment rights. Furthermore, think back to how Obama stocked the courts with puppet leftist judges during his time as Corrupter-in-Chief.

It is well within the realm of reason to see a similar argument winning in a court of law if Democrats ever rebuild their party, to the point of being able to once again reign supreme on both a state and national level.

However, the house RINOs pose almost as great of a threat as the Democrats when it comes to protecting our 2nd amendment rights, as Truth and Action reported.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) took to Twitter on Wednesday to hint that his Republican colleagues are ready to cave on gun control.

Democrats have pushed over ten different gun controls since the October 1 Las Vegas attack. Those include a ban on semiautomatic weapons, “high capacity” magazines, bump stocks, and “assault weapons.” The gun controls also include calls for an Australian-style gun ban, a ban on trigger cranks, and the implementation of expanded background checks, even though the Las Vegas gunman—and almost every mass public attacker of recent memory—passed a background check for his firearms.

Sen. Murphy personally pushed for a ban on bump stocks and “assault weapons,” and called for more background checks as well.

On Wednesday he hinted that unnamed Republicans may be ready to join the gun control push, tweeting:

Which is crazy considering the biggest swamp monster of them all came up with this whole idea discussed on the 2nd page surrounding the rights of gun victim family members to sue gun manufacturers. These RINOs are paving the way for this to happen by pushing the “baby step” legislation above.

You know whose bidding they’re doing?
