Ex-Soviet Intel Officer Confirms Being at Trump Jr. Meeting

Fusion GPS, a firm responsible for the so-called Trump-Russia Dossier, employed several individuals who were specifically charged with the destruction of then-candidate Donald Trump.  In the center of the controversy, two Fusion GPS employees, Natalia Veselnitskaya (currently under scrutiny for her meeting with Trump Jr.) and British spy Christopher Steele (who was primarily in charge of the dossier’s fabrication).

Just this morning, Politico revealed that the Fusion GPS co-founder was requested to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee:

The committee on Wednesday announced a July 19 hearing that listed Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, a former Wall Street Journal investigative reporter, as a witness. His inclusion raised the specter of public testimony about the dossier’s seamy and contested claims of sexual misconduct and a years-long Kremlin conspiracy to get Trump elected.

Another individual, however, who was intimately involved in the fabrication of the dossier was a man named Renat Akhmetshin, a former Russian intelligence officer.  This morning, Akhmetshin contacted the Associated Press to let them know that he was also present at the meeting with Donald Trump Jr.

The interesting part of this story is that Akhmetshin has been in and out of the United States on behalf of Democrat operatives for the better part of a decade and has been unregistered as a foreign national in direct violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.  Senator Grassley had been feverishly requesting of both the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigations the reasoning for this violation of U.S. Federal law.  For over three months, both the DOJ and the FBI failed to respond to those official letters with requests for answers.

That should tell us everything we need to know about a) the sincerity of Comey and his claim that he was under pressure from both sides to show loyalty, b) why the FBI and John McCain worked so secretly behind closed doors with these shady individuals, and c) how the Deep State operates when it merely ignores requests for information while leaking state secrets and innuendo like an old outhouse.

With the confirmation that Akhmetshin was at this meeting with Trump Jr., in addition to the Russian lawyer, Veselnitskaya, it would necessarily indicate that the opposition research (most definitely initiated by Soros-connected funding through many different organizations and facilitated by Podesta and his minions) which was a complete fantasy, would also show that the meeting was a sham as well.

However, we’re not talking about normal, objective and classically-trained journalists here, are we?  We’re talking about career activist reporters whose sole purpose in life is to destroy the Right, NO MATTER WHAT THE COST AND BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.  Therefore, this Trump Jr. meeting has now been elevated by the Leftists to DEFCON 2.  In addition to all the banter lately surrounding articles of impeachment and the call just today by House Republicans to force a vote on the Russian collusion, this Trump Jr. story may just reach DEFCON 1 by the end of the weekend.

The Russian lawyer who met with the eldest son of U.S. President Donald Trump and other officials of his presidential campaign in June 2016 was accompanied by a Russian-American lobbyist who is a former Soviet counterintelligence officer, according to multiple U.S. media reports.

The lobbyist, Rinat Akhmetshin, on July 14 confirmed to the Associated Press that he had been at the meeting. He told the news agency he had once served in a Soviet military unit that was part of counterintelligence but that he was never formally trained as a spy.

NBC reported on July 13 that the lobbyist, whom the network did not name at the time, accompanied Russian lawyer Natalya Veselnitskaya to the meeting with Donald Trump Jr.; President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner; and then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

The NBC report described the man as a “Russian-born American lobbyist [who] served in the Soviet military and emigrated to the U.S., where he holds dual citizenship.”

You’ll note that NBC is dutifully attempting to minimize the actual sinister quality of Akhmetshin by claiming his dual citizenship.

Akhmetshin was a known associate of Veselnitskaya’s in a multifaceted lobbying and public-relations effort in the United States in mid-2016 against the Magnitsky Act, legislation that imposes sanctions on human rights abusers.

And in this sentence, the AP calls the Akhmetshin and Veselnitskaya attempt to dig up more crap on Trump as merely a “multifaceted lobbying and public-relations effort” to ease restrictions that were a result of the Magnitsky Act.  Oh, then, how quaint!  They weren’t really trying to do anything “illegal.”  Later in the piece by the AP, it specifically mentions the Senate Judiciary Committee’s investigation into Akhmetshin, but fails to note the most important part of why he’s being investigated and that was that he was an UNREGISTERED FOREIGN NATIONAL in direct violation of U.S. Federal law!

In April, the Senate Judiciary Committee sent the Department of Homeland Security an information request as part of a probe into possible illegal lobbying by Akhmetshin, saying he was suspected of conducting “subversive political influence operations often involving disinformation and propaganda.”

But here follows perhaps the most misleading information and the best example of creative editing to make it appear that the Trump people were doing something wrong.

On July 11, Donald Trump Jr. released e-mails that showed he had accepted the meeting after being told Veselnitskaya had damaging information about Democratic Party presidential candidate and former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that was purportedly provided by the Russian government.

Akhmetshin told AP that Veselnitskaya gave the Trump associates at the meeting information on what she said were funds being illegally funneled to the Democratic National Committee and suggested the information could help the Trump campaign.

“This could be a good issue to expose how the DNC is accepting bad money,” Akhmetshin recalled the lawyer as saying.

President Trump and Donald Trump Jr. have said there was nothing improper about the meeting.

You notice that the AP reporter and editor fail to mention that which Trump Jr. has announced publicly on several different occasions, that Veselnitskaya was evasive, vague, and seemed to infer that she really didn’t have anything damaging at all.  The last little dig that the president and his son insisted there was nothing improper ends with the impression that they are defensive and paranoid, when in fact they have said outright that they believe she had nothing of use to them and that was that.

This is about to become an all-out war because the Associated Press (made up of all the very worst players in media today) as well as all the other fake news outlets are not about to admit defeat.  After all, the Fourth Estate is owed this respect that Trump and his menial supporters have failed to bestow.

P.S., America…the Russians are still coming.
